How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

Back in the days of ReadyMade Magazine, Cat (the creator of Cut Out + Keep) and I used to communicate on Readymade's message boards. Networking and sharing DIY projects was right up my alley and I am a fan of Cat's, so I decided to join.

What projects are you currently working on?

Holiday gifts! I'm making clay ornaments with my daughter's hand and foot prints. I also want to make holiday cards with her footprints on them.

What does your craft space look like?

My craft space is modern and colorful. I wanted the space to reflect my love of party decorations, baking, desserts, etc. I also wanted to display my supplies in a way that made me feel inspired...kind of like a kid in a candy store.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Probably my gold scissors! I use them for everything.

What do you craft along to?

I like to craft while listening to reruns of favorite TV shows like Gilmore Girls and New Girl.

Favorite Craft

I go through phases, depending on what big event is going on in my life. I started out making jewelry for myself and my friends. Then I got into party decorations, invitations, and favors when my sister got engaged. Then I got engaged and made all the decorations for my wedding. A year and a half ago, my husband and I bought our first home, so I started doing home decor projects and decorating. After I got pregnant, I was big into DIY projects for my daughter's nursery -- and now that she's born, I'm obsessed with baby related crafts!

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

Does sugar sculpting count as a craft? I would absolutely love to go to pastry & confectionery school so I could make edible works of art.

Who are your crafting heroes?

One of my all time favorite crafters is Kelly Mindell from Her projects are so much fun. I love her sense of humor and her knack for decorating.

Elsie Larson, from, is also an inspiration to me. I used to follow her back in her scrapbooking days and now she has one of the most popular DIY style blogs out there.

I also totally admire Martha Stewart for the whole enterprise she has created. it would be my dream to design everything from craft supplies to bed sheets!
