Make Matcha Makrut Iced Tea with Demitasse in Los Angeles

  • Step 1

    You'll need to make some makrut lime syrup first:
    Chop up 4 or 5 leaves and toss them in a sauce pan with 100g of water and 60g of sugar. Bring to a boil until the sugar is dissolved. Give it a few good stirs. Strain the leaves out.

    Your house should already smell incredible.

  • Step 2

    Then take 1.5g of matcha (1 packet), add 60g of sugar and whisk until dissolved. Add about 10-15g of honey to this mix and whisk until the honey is dissolved.

  • Step 3

    Grab a shaker and fill it with ice.

  • Step 4

    Pour in all the matcha mix, add 30g of syrup and then cut open and squeeze a whole lime's worth of lime juice into the shaker.

  • Step 5

    SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE (shake your booty).
    Strain out into something pretty.
